What to Expect
Booking a session with me is designed to be simple, stress-free, and enjoyable from start to finish. Here’s how the process works:
1. Connect
Reach out to me through my website or social media, and I’ll help you choose the session that’s right for your family.
2. Questionnaire
After booking, you’ll receive a short questionnaire so I can learn more about you, your family, and what matters most to you. This helps me tailor the session to your style and preferences.
3. Photo Session
On the day of your shoot, all you need to do is relax and enjoy the moment. I’ll guide you with light posing while also encouraging natural interactions, so your gallery includes a mix of candid and timeless portraits. With newborns, I focus on gentle posing that follows your baby’s natural cues — no forced or excessive poses like “froggy” setups or composites that require additional hands.
4. Proof Gallery
Within 24 hours, you’ll receive an online proof gallery with watermarked, unedited photos. These are just for making your selections and are not intended to be downloaded or shared. Once you choose your favorites, I’ll begin the editing process.
5. Final Delivery
Within 7 days of your selection, your fully edited photos will be delivered in a password-protected online gallery, ready to download, share, and treasure.

How do I choose the right package?
I keep things simple with three options. Tier 1: Sweet & Simple ($225) works best for newborn sessions with just baby, maternity sessions with mom alone or with a partner, or kids-only family sessions (up to 3 people). Tier 2: Classic Moments ($325) is perfect for newborns with parents and/or one sibling, maternity with mom, partner, and kids, or family sessions with up to 5 people. Tier 3: Forever Memories ($450) offers the fullest coverage — newborns with parents and siblings, full family maternity, or family groups up to 6.
how long are your sessions?
I don’t set strict time limits. Sessions are baby- and child-led, which keeps things relaxed and stress-free. Thanks to my background in hospital Fresh 48 photography, I work efficiently - often capturing about 100 images in as little as 20 minutes. You’ll get the same variety and quality, without dragging the session longer than it needs to be and this way, we focus on quality over the clock.
what is your experience with newborns?
With newborns, safety and comfort always come first. I am certified for newborn safety and have completed extensive training in handling, posing and swaddling newborns, so you can feel confident your little one is in experienced and caring hands. I work gently, follow each baby’s cues, and ensure parents feel at ease throughout the process.
What gear do you use?
I photograph with a Canon R6 Mark II and professional prime and zoom lenses including the RF 85mm f/2, RF 28–70mm f/2, and RF 50mm f/1.8. These give me the flexibility to capture crisp portraits, dreamy backgrounds, and wide lifestyle shots with beautiful clarity. For lighting, I use a Godox V1C Pro, and I primarily work with natural light but incorporate professional lighting when needed for the best results.
Where do sessions take place?
You can choose from in-home sessions or outdoor locations around Chicago. I provide a list of recommended outdoor spots that are free to use, as well as access to more prime locations that require a permit. While I do not own a studio, one can be arranged if desired for an additional rental fee. Travel fees may apply for sessions more than an hour from 60657.
What should we wear?
Neutral and soft tones like beige, cream, muted pinks, blues, or earthy shades photograph beautifully and keep the focus on your family. Coordinating colors (without matching exactly) work best, and simple textures like knits or flowy fabrics add interest. Try to avoid large logos, neon tones, or very busy patterns so your photos stay timeless and clean.
Do you require a deposit? What if we need to cancel or reschedule?
Yes, a non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date and is applied toward your final balance. If you need to reschedule, the deposit transfers to your new date. If you cancel completely, the deposit is forfeited since it holds your spot on my calendar.
How do I receive my photos?
You will first receive a proofing gallery of watermarked images to make your selections. Once you’ve chosen your favorites, the standard editing time is within 7 days, and your final images will be delivered in a private, password-protected online gallery for you to download.
